Terms of Service
Last updated: 20 March 2026
Agreement to these terms
By creating an account, connecting a Figma team, or otherwise using Zephyr, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you are using Zephyr on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organisation to these terms. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the service.
What Zephyr is
Zephyr is a design feedback tool that integrates with Figma, operated by Studio Sintez Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). Tag @Zephyr in a Figma comment and receive AI-powered critique on your design work. The service is operated at zephyr.design.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use Zephyr. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement.
How it works
When you connect a Figma team to Zephyr via OAuth, the service gains read access to files within that team. This access is necessary so that Zephyr can locate and export the specific design frame your comment is attached to.
When you tag @Zephyr in a Figma comment:
- Zephyr reads your comment and identifies the frame or component it's attached to.
- A PNG image of that specific frame is exported via Figma's API.
- The frame image and your comment text are sent to a third-party AI provider (currently OpenAI) to generate design feedback.
- The AI response is posted back to Figma as a reply to your comment.
Zephyr does not access, export or store your entire Figma file. It only processes the specific frame relevant to each comment. For full details on how your data is collected, used and protected, see our Privacy Policy.
Beta disclaimer
Zephyr is currently in beta. This means:
- Features may change, break or be removed without notice.
- We do not guarantee availability or uptime. There is no service-level agreement (SLA) during the beta period.
- Data may be lost during the beta period.
- The quality of AI-generated feedback may vary.
We're building in the open and improving quickly, but please don't rely on Zephyr as your sole source of design feedback during this stage.
Account and access
You access Zephyr by authenticating with your Figma account via OAuth. By connecting a team, you grant Zephyr read access to files within that team and permission to read and write comments. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Figma account. If you believe your account has been compromised, disconnect Zephyr from Figma and contact us immediately.
Acceptable use
When using Zephyr, you agree not to:
- Use the service for any illegal purpose.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile or extract source code from the service.
- Deliberately overload, disrupt or interfere with the service.
- Use the service to generate harmful, abusive or misleading content.
- Submit content that infringes the intellectual property rights of others.
- Resell or redistribute the service without permission.
Your content and intellectual property
You retain full ownership of your design work. Zephyr does not claim any rights over your content.
You are responsible for the content you submit for review. By tagging @Zephyr, you represent that you have the right to share the relevant design frame and comment text with Zephyr and its AI provider for processing.
Zephyr does not permanently store your design files, frame images or comment text. Images are processed entirely in memory and discarded after the AI response is generated. For full details, see the Design image lifecycle section of our Privacy Policy.
AI-generated feedback
Design feedback from Zephyr is generated by a third-party AI model (currently OpenAI) and is provided for informational purposes only. It is not a substitute for professional design judgement.
- AI-generated feedback may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your specific context.
- You are solely responsible for any design decisions you make based on Zephyr's output.
- We do not guarantee the quality, accuracy or usefulness of any feedback generated by the service.
Figma integration and API access
Zephyr is a third-party integration built on Figma's API. Zephyr is not made by, affiliated with, or endorsed by Figma. Your use of Figma is governed by Figma's own Terms of Service.
By connecting a team, you grant Zephyr read access to Figma files within that team via OAuth. While Zephyr has the technical ability to read files in the connected team, it only accesses files when a comment mentioning @Zephyr is created. It does not browse, index or catalogue your files.
You can revoke this access at any time by disconnecting the team within Zephyr or revoking OAuth access in your Figma account settings.
If Figma revokes or restricts API access: Zephyr's functionality depends on continued access to Figma's API. If Figma revokes, restricts or discontinues API access for any reason, some or all of Zephyr's features may become unavailable. In that event, we will notify affected users and delete any data associated with the revoked connection. We are not liable for service disruptions caused by changes to Figma's platform or API.
Third-party services
Zephyr relies on third-party services to function, including Figma (design platform), OpenAI (AI provider), Render (hosting), and Firebase (authentication). We are not responsible for outages, changes or disruptions to these external services.
If a third-party provider changes their service in a way that affects Zephyr, we will do our best to adapt, but cannot guarantee uninterrupted operation. Your use of third-party services is governed by their respective terms.
Service availability and modifications
We strive to keep Zephyr available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice. Where a change materially affects your use of the service, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, revenue, or business opportunity.
- Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from or related to the service is limited to the amount you have paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim, or EUR 50, whichever is greater.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for fraud or wilful misconduct.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless Studio Sintez Ltd. and its officers, employees and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use of the service in violation of these terms.
- Content you submit for review that infringes the rights of a third party.
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
Termination
Either party can end the relationship at any time. You can disconnect Zephyr by revoking OAuth access in your Figma account settings or disconnecting your team within Zephyr. You can also request complete deletion of your data by emailing hello@zephyr.design.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practicable. Upon termination, we will delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria and the European Union. Before initiating formal proceedings, both parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by contacting hello@zephyr.design. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally within 30 days, it shall be submitted to the competent courts of Bulgaria.
If you are a consumer in the EU, you retain any mandatory consumer protection rights granted by the laws of your country of residence.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or with a prominent notice on the website at least 14 days before the changes take effect. If you do not agree with the updated terms, you may stop using the service and request deletion of your data before the changes take effect.
Severability and entire agreement
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Studio Sintez Ltd. regarding the use of Zephyr.
